The Mental Plug is coming back, and we’re ready to get into the conversations again. Hosted by Quinn Barbour, he ColorBloc Magazine podcast returns for Season 3 on Sunday, October 11. This season, we’re teaming up with MAAD Artist to bring more conversations with artists and creative voices to listeners. Centered on healing, expression, and all things art, the show gives listeners a chance to get to know the people behind the work. Expect honest reflection, laughter, and stories about the experiences that shape what we create and how we see ourselves.

For the first half of the season, Quinn will sit down with Dame Moore and Delaney George to discuss The Color of Care, exploring family memories, care, and the trust between an artist and curator. Eukora Marie’s approach to art as a diary opens a conversation about generational trauma, growth, and the passage of time. Chris Bible brings a perspective on identity and the inner world through figurative painting, while Jensie Johnson considers how personal healing can create connection and change within communities.

The range continues with Ash Vell, whose blend of graphic design and digital art translates music into visual worlds filled with nostalgia, color, and feeling. Jen Clarke’s paintings offer a way into intimacy, identity, and empathy through waves rooted in emotion. Curve model Izzy Samuels joins the conversation around body positivity, representation, and being seen, while Robert H. Marshall’s Echoes creates space to discuss male survivors of sexual abuse and the role of art in sharing stories too often silenced. Across these conversations, listeners will encounter different ways of expressing, remembering, and making sense of lived experience.

Quinn returns with the familiar mental check, inviting guests to share how they are doing before getting into the interview, and each episode closes with a chance to plug what comes next. Full episodes will be available on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and YouTube. We’ve also launched a new Instagram home, @mentalplugpodcast, for guest highlights, episode announcements, and excerpts throughout the season. Follow along, meet the lineup, and join us October 11 for the first conversation.
