Submissions Guidelines
PLEASE SUBMIT EXCLUSIVE/ORIGINAL CONTENT ONLY.
Only eligible submissions will proceed to the reviewal process, during this process our editorial team will determine your publication status. Following this guide will ensure your submission is correctly submitted. Not all works submitted will be accepted for publishing.
*Members are allowed tactical reviews for their submissions; being a member does not guarantee a feature.
Carefully review the theme of the issue for which you are submitted for -
ColorBloc Magazine issues are themed, while we accept submissions from all art mediums each submission must embody the essence of the theme. Any submission that does not align with the theme will either be used in a future publication (web, social or print) or receive a publication denial.
For ALL painting, architecture, sculpture, music, performing and cinema submissions high resolution digital images files will be required.
If your submission is accepted for publication, you will receive a confirmation email from us (14) days from the date you submit. *Due to the number of submissions we receive we will not contact you if your submission was rejected.
Submit via our website - your submission portfolio must be in link format.

Illustration (graphic, drawing, painting) + 3 Dimensional Submission:
→ Must be submitted as digital files are required to be submitted in high-resolution. What is a high-resolution image? A high-resolution image is anything that is 300 dpi high resolution.
→ Submit a minimum of 3 digital files *Not all are guaranteed to be published.
→ Image files must be free of text and in jpeg format.
→ Label photos with appropriate credits. (materials)
Photo Submission:
→ Photos are required to be submitted in high-resolution. What is a high-resolution image? A high-resolution image is anything that is 300 dpi high resolution.
→ Submit a minimum of 10 images *Not all images are guaranteed to be published.
→ Photos must be free of text and in jpeg format.
→ Label photos with appropriate credits team and clothing.
Video Submission:
→ Videos are required to be submitted in high-resolution. What is a high-resolution video? A high-resolution video is anything that has at is 1080p high resolution.
We do accept video in 720p.
→ ColorBloc Logo must be present - Please reach out to us for our logo at contact@colorblocmag.com; logo should be placed in the right corner of about a quarter of an inch from bottom of frame.
→ All credits should be included in the video as well.
→ If you are submitting for a printed issue you must provide 4-10 still frames or a photo story for publishing. Please do not send screen shots of web interviews.
If accepted, your video will be promoted on our website and social media channels.
→Interview videos are acceptable
→ Although not required we do prefer if a video submissions provide portrait and story format video clips for Instagram.
Audio File Submission:
→ All audio submissions must include a photo story or video, this includes interview audio. Refer to our photo or video submission guidelines for media requirements.(see above)
Written Submission:
→ Poems are acceptable written submissions.
→ Written essays and interviews must provide a photo story or video. You can submit without however we may require after reviewing your work. In some cases we will add a photo story to accompany your written peace. Refer to our photo or video submission guidelines for media requirements. (see above)
→ Written works should be a minimum of 500 word count
What All Submissions Must Include:
→ A document of all contributing team credits - this includes clothing and accessories. Please include 'First/Last Name/Business Name & social media handles.*ColorBloc Magazine is on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube & TikTok - your work may be featured on one or more of our profiles; include all handles that apply.
→ Waiver of Publication - We require all submissions to sign a Waiver of Publication. This waiver gives ColorBloc permission to publish your work and to confirm that you are the owner of the submitted work.

→ Submission Checklist - We require a submission checklist to be submitted with all submissions, this helps to ensure all submission requirements are met. Submissions that do not include a checklist will be considered incomplete.*Complete at submission
